Gave the Cabin a New Look with Vito Lacquered Veneer Panel
Kristian Tindvik recently renovated his 1970s cabin located by Sandlandsvannet, just north of Vennesla. The cabin, beautifully situated in scenic surroundings, has received a modern upgrade with the help of a new product from Fibo – the Vito Lacquered Veneer Panel in birch. The panel was chosen for both walls and ceilings in the living room and kitchen – a choice that Kristian and his wife are very pleased with.
We wanted a natural and timeless look that matched the cabin’s surroundings. The Vito birch panels gave us exactly that – a beautiful finish and a warm atmosphere

A Product with Natural Aesthetics and Functionality
Vito Lacquered Veneer Panel is a premium building material designed for walls in dry rooms, but can also be used creatively, as Kristian and his wife demonstrated by using it on both walls and ceilings. The panel consists of seven layers of birch veneer with a decorative top layer of lacquered veneer, giving it an exclusive and natural appearance. The surface is pre-lacquered and ready to use, making it a practical and aesthetic choice.
Some of the key benefits of Vito Lacquered Veneer Panel include:
Decorative appearance: The natural wood grain gives the room a modern yet timeless feel.
Durability: The panel has a smooth and durable surface that withstands daily use.
Easy installation: The integrated click system conceals both screws and joints, resulting in a seamless finish.
Sustainability: Made from real plywood and designed for long life, the panel is a sustainable choice.
Practical and Time-Saving
During the renovation, the family saved a lot of time thanks to the panels being ready to install without any need for post-treatment. This was especially important in a project that included both the living room and the kitchen. Kristian says the pre-lacquered surface made the process easier and saved both time and costs.
In addition to being easy to work with, Vito Lacquered Veneer Panel has excellent screw-holding properties, ensuring a solid installation on both walls and ceilings. Master builder Per Arne Guttormsen from Byggmester 1, who carried out the work, confirms this:
The click system makes it easy to install, and the result is both seamless and elegant. Using the panels on the ceiling was an exciting challenge, but the result turned out great
A Unified Design
By using the same panel on both walls and ceilings, the family has achieved a cohesive design throughout the cabin that truly stands out. The choice of birch as a decorative element highlights the cabin’s location in nature and creates a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
The family’s next project is to renovate the annex at the cabin, and they have also decided to use Vito Lacquered Veneer Panel in birch for both the walls and ceiling there. Considering how satisfied they are with the result in the living room and kitchen, it was a natural choice. And once again, builder Guttormsen will be in charge of installing the panels.
Ideal for Many Applications
Although Vito Lacquered Veneer Panel was used in a cabin in this case, it is ideal for a wide range of indoor spaces such as living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, offices, and receptions. The panel is especially well-suited for those seeking a modern, seamless expression of natural wood.
